Speed, Style, Safety, DESIGN: Troy Lee Designs' new SE5 Composite motorcycle helmet continues to raise industry standards in helmet technology. Tested and developed by the best world athletes of motocross teams, the new MX SE5 Composite helmets are characterized by a resistant shell in aerospace glass fibers, for a new ventilation system that ensures maximum comfort for the rider thanks to the lateral blades on the chin guard, and for the Collarbone Mitigation System, the innovative clavicle protection system in EPP (expanded polypropylene) integrated in the lower part of the helmet that protects the collarbone and the upper part of the shoulder and propagates the force of the impact.
- MIPS® INTEGRA
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a patented technology to protect the skull from impacts in the event of a fall and thus reduce the risks associated with possible concussions. It is a sliding plane system designed to rotate inside the helmet with the intent of reducing and slowing down the amount of rotational energy transferred to the head.
- INTEGRA is the latest evolution of MIPS: it is the lightest and thinnest rotational management system (RMS) in the MIPS world. Perfectly integrated into the inner shell, this system ensures maximum comfort and minimum friction when wearing the helmet.The characteristic yellow low-friction layer (LFL) is in fact co-molded inside the helmet above the dual-density EPS foam, which protects against low-speed impacts.
- OPTIMIZED FIT AND BREATHABILITY
The SE5 motocross helmet integrates preformed cheek pads in Dri-Lex®, a fabric designed to ensure maximum breathability, and an internal lining in antimicrobial fibers in X-Static®.
The cheek pads are quick-release to facilitate the intervention of First Aid personnel in the event of an accident or fall.
The Double-D system also ensures an adjustable and safe closure of the helmet, thanks to the two resistant titanium rings.

In the event of a fall, Troy Lee Designs has studied a system of pre-cut screws to allow the visor to detach from the body of the helmet instead of breaking, thus preventing the rider from being injured during the impact.
