Bastion GTX is top of the range between winter gloves Rev'it. The highest level of breathability and waterproofing comes from GORE-TEX fabric which is combined with the latest generation, with protective elements derived from our MotoGP and gloves with thermal liners to form a winter glove ultra lightweight and highly protective. The list of features is impressive, but the reality is that it will be hard to beat a pair of winter gloves more comfortable.
The secret of a GORE-TEX® membrane is its revolutionary dual-component.
The part expanded PTFE contains about 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These pores are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapor molecule.
Thus, while the water in liquid form can not penetrate the GORE-TEX® membrane, sweat, or water vapor, can easily evaporate.
In the structure PTFE is also an element oleofobo (oil-resistant), which, without obstructing the passage of water vapor, prevents the entry of substances such as oils, cosmetics, insect repellents or food substances.
The result is a barrier completely waterproof, windproof and breathable.
Try to submit other technical fabrics to the terms of use and frequent washing tougher: there are good chances that they lose their characteristics.Not the GORE-TEX®!
