A mesh jacket with detachable mesh lining, further developed for urban riders who love warm temperatures.
The Empire 2.0 has been further developed for hot riding conditions with plenty of 3D mesh fabric to ensure sufficient airflow around the body except for impact areas such as the elbows and shoulders.
In addition to the jersey, this Empire variant is primarily made of Night Eye™ fabric; a reflective base layer loaded with microscopic plates that reflect light back to its source, similar to High-Viz gear but without the kitsch look. This jacket is available in men's and women's variations and with or without Night Eye™.
It features a detachable Raintex ML membrane which is comfortable on the skin as it is laminated against a comfortable mesh fabric. This prevents the membrane from sticking to the skin when riding with short sleeves or sleeveless clothing underneath.
The membrane is connected via our Easy Cuff™ system, a zippered solution that prevents floating layers of fabric inside the jacket from getting caught in your hands when you put it on.
To prevent the jacket from riding up in the event of an accident, we’ve included our Belt Loop™, a sturdy webbing that allows you to easily attach the jacket to your belt.
At the bottom of the main zipper you'll find our Zip Grip™, a triangular reinforcement that makes inserting and closing the zipper much easier, even when wearing gloves!
The buttons on the upper arms require only two fingers to operate, making them easy to adjust. Quixnaps™ are what we call these 'quick snaps.'
Our RISC™ Level 1 impact protection is present at the shoulders and elbows. RISC™ back and chest protection is available separately and can be easily stored in the dedicated compartment. Be sure to check the sizing chart before purchasing a back protector.
Additionally, this jacket is ready for our MUPBP-1 PALS baseplate. This accessory can be attached to the lower back of the jacket to allow for expansion of the pack capacity. The baseplate contains the Pouch Attachment Ladder System that allows our pouches to be worn on the body.
