The ultimate 3-layer jacket, fully loaded with differentiators, designed for adventurers and tourers who want to challenge all riding conditions.
The Chieftane features detachable layers that are attached to the outer shell by our in-house developed Easy Cuff™. This system uses zippers rather than loops and snaps, which prevents loose, floating layers inside the jacket. The waterproof membrane is detachable, as is the thermal liner, which can also be worn as a standalone piece.
The loops you find in this jacket are part of the Electric Power Guide™, or EPG for short. This differentiator allows you to conveniently run cables inside the jacket when turning on electrically heated clothing like gloves.
Ventilation is present in abundance. The chest has large panels and the arms have a large zipper in the front and one in the back of the upper arm. The back of the jacket also has a large panel so that air can easily find its way.
Another differentiator in the outer shell is the fabric covered in microscopic plates that reflect light back to its source. Night Eye™ makes you more visible when you really need it, without making you look like a road worker or a traffic sign.
The back features a Hydro Pocket and an integrated kidney belt made of TPR, the same material as the backpack reinforcements on the shoulders. A membrane deteriorates faster when wearing a backpack, which is prevented by the reinforcements. At the elbow we mounted a new protective element based on our internal impact protectors. We call it EXO RISC™.
Our Level 2 RISC™ impact protectors are located at the shoulders and elbows. RISC™ back and chest protectors are available separately and can be easily stowed in the dedicated compartment. Be sure to check the sizing chart before purchasing a back protector.
If all that wasn’t enough, this jacket is also ready for additional differentiators. On the upper back, you’ll find a pocket for our Vision 2C LED light. The chest features two buckles that you can attach our Vision Tech Vest to. The vest will stay in place when you put the jacket on or take it off.
