The upper is made of an innovative, lightweight microfiber material that's both flexible and abrasion-resistant. Lightweight microfiber on the front and back provides added comfort in the flex zone.

The toe is made of synthetic material for high abrasion resistance. The extended synthetic PU gaiter helps seal out excessive water and dirt.

• The contoured TPU calf protector plate, upper TPU medial protector, external lateral TPU ankle protector and TPU heel counter offer support and impact resistance.
• The rear TPR patch applied over the TPU calf protector provides protection and comfort during rear flexion. The injected TPU shin plate connects to the medial TPU protective panel; upper hook-and-loop closure, plus a TPR fin for a wide range of adjustment and calf fit support. The upper medial TPU protector is designed with a technical texture for improved grip.
• The biomechanical medial blade system allows for good anterior and posterior flexion, providing support and protection to the ankle. The ergonomic triple-buckle TPU straps wrap the anterior flexion from the medial protector to the lateral side without compromising flexion.
• The closure system includes 3 polymer buckles with an innovative closure system. This closure includes a ratchet with memory and a quick release/closure system with a self-aligning design for easy and precise closure; all buckles are replaceable. The one-piece, dual-compound TPU injected foot shell is reinforced with a metal shank within a co-injected toe cap.
• Soft foam surrounds the ankles and collar for comfort and shock absorption. Full textile lining for added comfort. Replaceable EVA footbed with textile lining on the upper. Alpinestars specific all-terrain sole made from high-grip rubber compounds. The sole is replaceable.
